As Sunny Deol's Border 2 takes over the box office, demolishing a giant like Dhurandhar in the process, it would seem that not all cinemas are getting the same experience.
The usual case of piracy comes when cam-recorded videos of movies end up online on illegal platforms or through illegal means.
However, what about the time when the cam version ends up playing in a movie theatres? Recently, a few people spotted the unexpected phenomenon of a pirated version of the movie being shown in a place where piracy generally takes place.

(The condition of Bhind city is very bad, it hardly has only one theatre. Our politician, Rakesh Chaudhry's name is being thrown around badly. This is the condition of Sharda cinema. They charge Rs 100 for a ticket and Ra 20 for the parking, and still it is like this. A third-party version downloaded from the mobile is being shown)."

The film was released on January 23, 2026, and it didn't even take a week for pirated versions of the movie to begin circulating. To make matters worse, one just so ended up in a theatre. How does India and Indian theatres then expect to eradicate piracy when they too, rely on it?
