New Delhi: Veteran character actress Aasha Singh Jaiswal, known for her roles in 'Mahabharat', 'Baazigar' and 'Bobby Jasoos', died at the age of 83.
Jaiswal, who was also a mimicry artist, died on August 22 in Mumbai. Her last rites were performed on Sunday, her son Akkash Bharadwaj shared in a social media post.
"She was a hard-working woman, an iron lady. I request all of you to pray for the peace and salvation of her soul. I also request you to find her work on social media or wherever you can and watch it so that her soul, wherever it may be, finds comfort in knowing that she is still remembered through her work," Bharadwaj wrote on 'Instagram'.
Jaiswal worked on several television shows and films. She played the role of Kripi in 'Mahabharat', the twin sister of sage Kripacharya who goes on to marry Dronacharya.
