Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday hit back at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his remark that the "P" in PDA could one day stand for Pakistan, saying if the chief minister could redefine PDA, he could also give a new meaning to BJP.
"Yogi ji is saying that P in PDA stands for Pakistan. Then I will say BJP means 'Bhag Jao Pakistan'," Akhilesh said, while attacking the CM over his remarks.
He said the more the BJP's "pain" increased, the stronger the PDA would become. "The greater their pain, the further PDA will advance. PDA also means 'Prem, Daya, Apnapan' (love, compassion and belonging). The more we Samajwadis bring people together with love, compassion and belonging, the stronger the Samajwadi Party will become. In the future, it will form a historic govt," he said.
Akhilesh also accused the BJP government of misusing power and alleged that corruption and the diversion of govt funds had become its main agenda. He alleged that people belonging to the PDA social grouping were being subjected to harassment and claimed that fake encounters were taking place in the state.
