IRCTC launches revamped beta website

MillenniumPost 1 week ago

New Delhi: Indian Railways has launched the new IRCTC Beta Website to enhance the online ticket booking experience with a faster, simpler and more user-friendly platform.

Developed by IRCTC, the revamped website features a modern interface inspired by global design trends, streamlined navigation and improved workflows to make railway reservations more efficient.

According to IRCTC, bookings completed within the three-minute Tatkal window have risen by over 5%, while bookings within five and 30 minutes increased by 3% and over 2%, respectively. Online bookings now account for 89.84% of total ticket reservations.

The platform also reduces repetitive CAPTCHAs and intrusive pop-up messages, ensuring a smoother booking process. Availability across multiple travel classes, including Sleeper, AC 3 Tier & AC 2 Tier, is displayed on a single screen for easier comparison. IRCTC said the website will continue to be refined based on user feedback as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts.
