MillenniumPost 1 week ago

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have arrested three individuals, including a 19-year-old woman, in connection with a firing incident that left a 23-year-old man injured following a minor dispute in northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar area.

The accused were identified as Yash alias Golu alias Ashu (21), son of Brijesh, and Arpit (20), son of Vinod Kumar, both residents of Loni in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district. The woman was also apprehended in connection with the case.

Police said a PCR call regarding the incident was received at Karawal Nagar Police Station on May 24, while information about a gunshot injury victim admitted to GTB Hospital was also received. A police team reached the hospital, where the injured man, identified as Mayank, narrated the sequence of events.

According to investigators, Mayank had gone to Magic Chilli Restaurant and Café in Shiv Vihar with his friends, including the accused, for a social gathering when an argument broke out between him and Yash alias Golu. Though Mayank tried to avoid further confrontation and leave the restaurant, Yash allegedly followed him outside and opened fire.

Police said Yash later confessed during interrogation. The pistol used in the crime and the motorcycle used to flee were recovered. Further investigation is underway.
