MillenniumPost 1 week ago

Noida: Passengers travelling through Noida International Airport in Greater Noida will have access to multiple transport options, including intercity buses, airport taxis and app-based cab services, from the first day of operations on June 15, officials said.

The airport management has completed preparations to ensure smooth connectivity for travellers and has signed agreements with several transport companies and state road transport corporations. IndiGo and Akasa Air are expected to begin flight operations during the initial phase.

Officials said passengers will be able to use app-based cab services such as Uber, Ola and Rapido directly from the airport. Mahindra Logistics will also launch premium electric cab services, offering chauffeur-driven vehicles for business and premium travellers.

To improve regional connectivity, multiple road transport corporations will operate direct bus services linking the airport with key NCR cities and neighbouring states. Uttarakhand Transport Corporation will run buses to Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh and Haldwani, while Haryana Roadways will connect the airport with Chandigarh, Gurugram, Faridabad and Palwal.

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses will provide services to Kashmiri Gate ISBT, Sarai Kale Khan ISBT, Anand Vihar ISBT and New Delhi railway station. Airport authorities said an agreement has also been signed with Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), and direct services from several cities in Uttar Pradesh will start soon.

In addition, NCR airport shuttle services will operate from Noida, Greater Noida, Botanical Garden metro station, Ghaziabad and Akshardham to make airport access easier for commuters.

Airport officials said bus services will initially operate from 8am to 8pm and could be expanded depending on passenger demand.

Noida airport nodal officer Shailendra Bhatia said all transport arrangements had been finalised to ensure hassle-free travel for passengers from the first day of airport operations.
