The accused were arrested from Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh during simultaneous raids in various locations, the officials informed on Monday.

In the operation, Delhi Police busted an alleged terror module and an illegal arms supply chain, with both networks allegedly operating in tandem and having links with Bhatti.

Officials said that the arrested individuals are being questioned to understand the inner working of the terror network, identify other members and probe the larger conspiracy, if any. Police added that more arrests are likely in the near future as the investigation unfolds.

During the raids, cops recovered firearms, petrol bombs and vehicles allegedly used by the terror modules. The recovered arms and explosives have been sent for forensic testing while police are examining digital evidence and other material found during the searches. Authorities said the financial trail, logistics and communications of the modules are also being probed to understand their working pattern.

Police are also looking into whether the arrested suspects have been involved in planning or supporting terror attacks, apart from examining their alleged role in the recent attack on RSS office in Ranchi.

"The petrol bombs used in the Ranchi attack and the ones recovered from the arrested accused have been sent for forensic analysis. However, as of now, no direct link has been found between the terror module and the RSS attack. Similarly, both terror modules have been uncovered as part of our efforts to target Pakistan's terror networks operating in India," Delhi Police special cell said in a statement.

Police added that the investigation into Delhi terror module is at a nascent stage and more evidence is expected to come out as the trial proceeds.

Authorities said they are looking into the role played by each accused and said more discoveries during searches could lead to additional arrests in days to come.
