New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has rolled out annual salary hikes averaging 6-8 per cent for employees in India despite continued challenges in the IT sector, according to sources.
Top performers in the A+ rating category received hikes of over 10 per cent, while employees in the lowest rating bracket got increases of around 2-3 per cent. Overseas employees received hikes in the range of 2-4 per cent.
The hikes mark a return to TCS' normal appraisal cycle after delays last year due to macroeconomic un-certainties. The company had announced in April that salary increments would be implemented from the same month.
In a statement, TCS said it has also completed compensation restructuring for India-based employees in line with the new labour codes.
The revised salary structure aims to ensure compliance, standardise wage structures and protect take-home salaries while allowing tax flexibility.
In its latest annual report, TCS said junior and mid-level employees in India received average hikes of 4.5-7 per cent in FY26, with top performers getting double-digit increments. Total annual increases, including promotions and other revisions, ranged between 5-8 per cent.
Chief Human Resources Officer Sudeep Kunnumal had earlier said the hikes would be similar to last year's levels.
TCS had a workforce of 584,519 employees at the end of March 2026.
