Vellore: Saurabh Kumar Pal, an alumnus of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), has secured the 110th rank in the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Hailing from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, Saurabh graduated with a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from VIT in 2022.
He dedicated himself to preparing for the Indian Forest Service examination after completing his engineering
studies.
The final results of the IFoS examination were announced recently, with Saurabh Kumar Pal achieving an impressive All India rank of 110.
VIT Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, along with Vice presidents Sankar Viswanathan and Sekar Viswanathan, congratulated the young achiever and extended their best wishes.
"VIT's alumni continue to excel in national-level competitive examinations, bringing immense pride to the institution," said Dr. G. Viswanathan. "Saurabh Kumar Pal's success is a shining example for young engineers from technical backgrounds who aspire to take up administrative and civil services roles."
