NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband following a domestic dispute in northeast Delhi's Sonia Vihar, police said on Thursday.

The accused, who had fled after the incident, has since been apprehended.

The victim, identified as Poonam, was found unconscious after a PCR call on Wednesday evening and taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where she was declared dead. Police said she had sustained severe head injuries.Preliminary investigation suggests her husband, Rupak, assaulted her during a quarrel. Sources alleged he repeatedly hit her and banged her head against a wall, causing fatal injuries.
