Can Aamir Weave Magic Again: Another Cult Classic?
The source also shared that although the film was initially planned as an intense courtroom drama with political elements, the makers are now leaning towards a more raw and real narrative to suit Rajkummar Rao's style if he comes on board.
Aamir Khan was supposed to play the lead but now he will be involved in the biopic only as a producer.
Talking about Ujjwal Nikam, he is a well known Indian public prosecutor who has handled many big cases of serious crimes and terrorism.
He was the prosecutor in landmark cases like 1993 Bombay Blasts, Pramod Mahajan case, 2008 Mumbai Attacks and Gulshan Kumar case.
Rao was previously seen in Stree 2 which collected over 500 crores from the same producer and having good relations with Dinesh Vijan might have given him this project as well.
We will have to wait and see how Rajkummar Rao will adapt to the role and how he will portray it on screen.
