Sunny Deol's upcoming films are nothing short of amazing. Lahore 1947 directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan is releasing in August/September 2025.
Border 2 the sequel to the iconic war film Border is releasing in January 2026. And Ramayan directed by Nitesh Tiwari will be released in two parts-Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027.

At the Jaat trailer launch Deol was asked about Ramayan, Border 2 and Lahore 1947 by journalist Ravi Jain. While keeping details under wraps he said, "Gadar 2 has restarted everything for me.
I was hoping to do big films and its happening now. Lahore 1947 is coming this year and regarding the two projects (Ramayan and Border 2) you mentioned I can't discuss them right now. But I will talk about them at the right time," he said..
Biggest Underdog Strikes Back: Cult Film Returns
Each of these films play to Deol's strengths. In Ramayan he plays Lord Hanuman along with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita and Yash as Raavana.
Border 2 brings him back to his comfort zone of patriotic war dramas with Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh co-starring. Lahore 1947 explores the Partition era which has always worked wonders for him in Gadar and Gadar 2.
Sunny Deol's second innings isn't just about nostalgia-it's a strategic well-planned revival. With a mix of history, war and mythology his lineup has the potential to create a box office storm.
If executed well these films will make him the ultimate mass hero of Bollywood again.
