Actor Aamir Khan, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, announced in a press meeting that he has started working on his very own Mahabharata project.
Although the project is still in its initial stages, with the writing process just taking shape, Aamir confirmed that they are very excited to see how this shapes up as time passes.

The actor said, "We are just starting with the writing process. We are putting together a team. We are still fleshing out stuff, so let's see how that goes,"
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is also in the race for a mega-budget Mahabharata project, but Aamir seems to have gotten an early headstart.

While a well-made film on Mahabharata has a high chance of success, there is also a good chance that a certain section of religious fanatics will go to great lengths to oppose it, owing to the fact that Aamir is from a religion different from their own.
The posters, teasers and trailers will be analysed, with each small flaw being turned into a big issue, causing problems for Aamir.
