Forest Minister Konda Surekha, who recently criticised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and accused the Reddy lobby of bias, has now taken a softer stand after the Congress high command reportedly intervened and asked her to issue an apology.
Days after the controversy, Konda Surekha was seen praising CM Revanth Reddy in public. She criticised the previous BRS government for betraying farmers, recalling how they had warned cultivators that growing paddy would lead to disaster.

Surekha claimed the situation has completely changed under Revanth Reddy's leadership. Drawing comparisons to the late Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, she described the Chief Minister as a true saviour of farmers.
She also highlighted that Revanth Reddy's government waived farmers' loans and offered bonuses to small and marginal farmers. According to her, Telangana has now emerged among the top paddy-producing states, thanks to the CM's farmer-friendly policies.
The Minister's sudden change of stance has raised eyebrows and become a hot topic of discussion in political circles, with many questioning the timing of her praise after her daughter's earlier outburst.
