Abhishek Pathak's Panorama Studios seems to be taking the Maddock route by planning its very own franchise in the horror genre. The Studio is reportedly working on the sequel of 'Shaitaan', owing to the film's success in 2024.
Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, and R. Madhavan turned out to be a hit and was praised for its performances and unique approach, although it was a remake of the 2023 Gujarati film 'Vash'.

Another commented, "Dabbe in Hindi? Yes, please! If done right, it could give Hollywood horror a run for its money."
Many were also concerned regarding the situation, and they took to the comments to express themselves. One remarked, "Why does every successful film have to become a franchise? Let some stories end gracefully."
Another user cautioned about Dabbe, saying, "Remaking 'Dabbe' is risky. Indianizing Turkish horror might lose its essence."
With these projects soon to become a reality, it will be interesting to see how they are perceived by both critics and the public alike.
