Kesineni Nani was elected as the MP of Vijayawada in 2014 for the first time. Even in the anti-TDP wave that swept the state in 2019, he was re-elected from the same seat.

But the major problem with Nani is that he is always high-headed and does not gel with the other leaders of the Krishna district.

He always had problems with Senior leaders - Devineni Uma, Bonda Uma, Buddha Venkanna, and Nagul Meera.

As a result, the party suffered in all the Local Body elections between 2019 and 2024.

He also differed with the party for encouraging his brother Kesineni Chinni, with whom there are family rifts.

Finally, he defected to YSR Congress just before the elections and lost on that party ticket in 2024 elections.

Nani had openly criticized Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh after joining the YSR Congress.

After the 2024 defeat, he announced his Political Retirement.

But time and again, the rumors about his re-entry are surfacing.

There are rumors that he is keen on coming back for the political career of his daughter, Kesineni Swetha.

Despite many shortcomings, Nani is a very good leader. He had good contacts with Nitin Gadkari and Ratan Tata. He did many development projects in Vijayawada. But the TDP wave defeated him in 2024.

But then, re-admitting him into the party will create new problems.

Firstly, Sitting MP Kesineni Chinni will be very unhappy, and so are many leaders in the Krishna district who have differences with Nani.

For good or bad, Nani left the party and it will be better if he is not allowed back.

Because Nani is not a team player and he will continue to be a thorn in the flesh of the party in one way or the other.

This is completely unnecessary when everything is going on smoothly at the party.
