The star was arrested yesterday because a woman died in a stampede at a screening of the film in Hyderabad. Previously, Allu Arjun had also taken to the internet and shared a heartfelt video about the event.

While a mass section of the audience is in love with the film, there is another section that dislikes it.
Some of the 'intellectual' film critics found it to be over the top and cheesy. The larger-than-life representation of Pushpa and the narrative did not appeal to them.
One such critic took to X (formerly Twitter) and commented on how he thought that Allu Arjun was arrested for making Pushpa.
This tweet elicited a laugh from a lot of fans who thought the same.
Many of them laughed and agreed to the comment and discussed about how bad the film was.
One took the joke forward and added that Allu Arjun was bailed on the grounds that there would be no Pushpa 3.
