He remarked, "I know national media and how it behaves. All channels are bought over. They have no shame whatsoever. I am telling you this. That is my understanding of your behaviour."
His remarks sparked widespread outrage on social media. A netizen commented, "Very insensitive and immature comments made by #Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Mr. CV Anand on National Media reporting on #SandhyaTheatre incident & #AlluArjun arrest. Does CP have any proof of #AlluArjun buying National Media? Is this appropriate @revanth_anumula ji?"

CV Anand was quick to apologize and withdrew his remarks wholeheartedly. He tweeted, "I apologize for losing my cool when asked continuously provoking questions on ongoing investigations and making unnecessary general remarks about national media. I feel bad that I got provoked, and it was wrong; I should have kept calm. I withdraw my remarks wholeheartedly."
The Hyderabad police have been actively investigating the Allu Arjun issue. Yesterday, they released a comprehensive video of the entire stampede at Sandhya Theatre, claiming it was Allu Arjun's mistake to visit the theatre despite being asked not to.
