Actor and director Basil Joseph is preparing for his next film as a director, which will feature Ranveer Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead.

There have been speculations that the new project is Shaktimaan but the makers are yet to confirm it from their side.

Basil's last film Minnal Murali turned out to be a big success despite being released on an OTT platform. The visual effects, concept, and performance of Tovino Thomas received a positive response from critics and the audience.

A source claimed that the plans for the film started around five years ago and that other discussions are currently in progress.

Furthermore, Basil is meeting Ranveer frequently to complete the film as soon as possible and the script is expected to be locked soon, following which the producers will disclose other information.

Basil doing a film with Ranveer and Wamiqa is undoubtedly good news for the film industry. Basil has a habit of making good films with minimal budget and this is lacking in most of the directors of today's world.

Moreover, if Basil is offered the best budget, the level of the film will be something different with a very different storyline as we saw in Minnal Murali. But it is additionally important for the lead actors to have control over their fees if they are serious about delivering a hit.
