AR Murugadoss might not be a happy man with Sikandar's recent failure at the box office. The film crashed at the box office and is not looking to have a successful outing at the cinemas.
According to trade analysts, the first day collection for the film is around 25 crores which is poor given the Sunday release. It is also behind the first day collection of Chhaava (29 crores) and a matter of concern for the renowned director.
Hrithik Roshan After WAR 2: Masterstroke or Blunder?
With its second day being Eid, expectations were that the film would see a huge jump but given the early estimates, the film is expected to earn around 25-26 crores on its day 2.

Sikandar Scam: Salman Fans Fooled for 70% of Film?
The blame for the failure might not be put on only one person but given AR Murugadoss improper management and screenplay, the film fell flat over the audience.
Murugadoss' started his Bollywood career with Ghajini which turned out to be a blockbuster followed by Akshay Kumar's Holiday which once again came out as a decent hit.
What followed was underwhelming as Sonakshi Sinha's Akira flopped badly at the box office and now with the disaster that Sikandar is, Murugadoss' Bollywood trip might come to an unfortunate end.
With the losses of Sikandar, no high-profile star would certainly like to collaborate with Murugadoss ahead. While we point out the director for the loss of the film, is it his mistake or is it the efforts made by the actors?
While this debate might go on social media all day long, Sikandar is not how Murugadoss expected it to be and being the director, he must learn and move on from this disastrous project.
