Barely a day after joining the Telangana Cabinet, former cricketer and politician Mohd Azharuddin seems ready for his first legal fight.
Azharuddin has warned Union Minister Kishan Reddy of legal action over his harsh remarks. The BJP had strongly opposed Azharuddin's inclusion in the Telangana Cabinet ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election and even complained to the Election Commission.

Kishan Reddy went a step further and called Azharuddin a traitor. In response, Azharuddin condemned the statement and said in a TV interview that he was considering legal action against the Union Minister.
He reminded that the court had cleared him in the match-fixing case and that he had brought pride to India through cricket. Azharuddin also questioned Kishan Reddy's knowledge of the game, asking, "Does he even know how to hold a bat?"
Azharuddin claimed the BJP was targeting him because of the Jubilee Hills by-election. When asked if he would become an MLC within six months to retain his ministerial post, he replied calmly, "Time will answer all questions."
