The second season of Paatal Lok has been announced and fans are excited for the show. But there are chances of some pretty huge controversies as well.

The season 2 will be premiering on Prime Video on the 17th of January in 2025. Jaideep Ahlawat will be returning as Hathiram to further investigate some cases of importance. Actors like Jahnu Barua, Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Anurag Arora will probably be joining the season 2.

But the first season was criticised for making fun of Hindu gods and there was a huge controversy. The mythologically important Chitrakoot was shows as a crime-hub in Paatal Lok. Savitri, a mythical name was given to a so-called 'characterless' woman.

It went on to show Hindu priests distributing beef and cursing all the time. The killing of a Muslim boy after a dispute for train seats was framed as a murder for beef and the show accentuates it.

Many audiences were disappointed with this one-sided story and we will have to wait and see whether the makers have learned from their mistakes or will repeat them with the second season again.
