After working with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Aamir Khan in his recent projects, Rajkumar Hirani has now got his eyes on the next big superstar of the industry.

According to media reports, Vicky Kaushal has signed a contract to headline the next project from one of the biggest Indian directors. While both have worked together in the past in Dunki and Sanju, this will be the first time Kaushal will get the main lead role in a Hirani film.

Hirani will be looking to bounce back after Dunki wasn't much loved by the fans. While it did great at the Box Office, it wasn't an iconic movie like Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, and PK.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal has been on the rise in the industry, taking up good projects. On the contrary, his movies do not get the Box Office numbers as the biggest stars but his acting is well-received among fans and critics.

This is why he has got a busy 4 years ahead of him, working with the biggest names like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial is currently in the scripting stage and will likely begin shooting in 2026.
