Navi Mumbai police have recently arrested a man named Sukhbir Balbir Singh, aka Sukha for his suspected involvement in a plot to assassinate Salman Khan.

Sukha, who is said to be a member of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, was lured in by an undercover police officer pretending to be an unsuspecting woman.

The arrest was made in a hotel room after the police agent invited him to the room claiming to be drunk, in the pretence of getting help. The detaining of Sukha is being seen as a big breakthrough in the investigations.

The police are also suspecting Sukha's involvement in the assassination of former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique, as well as other instances of firings outside Salman Khan's residence earlier this year.
