BJP Disowns, Films Flopping: Kangana Trapped?

The troubles for movie actress turned Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut don't seem to be ending anytime soon. Kangana has once again found herself in the midst of a storm by commenting on Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, a man highly controversial in India, and considered as a terrorist by many in the country.

While talking about her yet-to-be-released film "Emergency" (accurately depicting the situation in her own career right now), Kangana said that almost 99% of people in Punjab consider Bhindranwale to be a terrorist, and if it is so, then her movie must be allowed to be released.

BJP leader Som Prakash took to X and said that Kangana should refrain form making unnecessary comment which could hurt the feelings of the Sikh Community. He also advised Kangana to stay disciplined and stated that nobody should be allowed to disturb the peace in Punjab.

This is not the first time Kangana's own party, the BJP, has distanced itself from her statements and advised Kangana to keep quiet and refrain from making such remarks. Kangana seems to be between a rock and a hard place as on one side her films are flopping back to back and her latest undertaking, Emergency, has just received the green light from the CBFC, after months of controversy and delay.

Modi Govt Under Fire: Biggest Controversial Film

It really seems like a comical tragedy for her where she is neither able to garner support from those whom she considered her own in politics nor is she able to release at least one box office hit in a couple recent years!
