The final instalment of the Venom franchise, 'Venom: The Last Dance' is all set to make its grand release this weekend. The film is directed by Kelly Marcel and stars Tom Hardy, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, and Rhys Ifans.
Despite the high anticipation surrounding its release, the film seems to have failed to perform in pre-sales in India.

A total of 35,000 tickets were sold as paid previews, with PVR Inox contributing 27,000 and Cinépolis adding another 8,000.
According to trade reports, the total pre-sales collection translates out to be ₹1 Cr., with walk-ins further expected to increase the collection to about ₹3 Cr. by the end of the day.

The film is expected to open with a collection of ₹5 Cr. on Friday. Though the number seems large, it is nowhere near the expectations of such a big franchise.
The success of the film will now heavily rely on word of mouth and spot bookings upon its release. Going by historical trends, the film is expected to perform better in the southern regions of India.

As fans await the arrival final chapter of Venom, the ability of the film to overcome its slow start remains to be seen.
