Almost a year after delivering the action-drama Gadar 2, Anil Sharma is back with a family entertainer, Vanvaas. The trailer promised to make the audiences emotional and it seems like the film has succeeded in that.

Audience reactions are out now with most of them calling it a masterpiece. Some others have said that the film can bring tears to everyone's eyes with a section of the public calling it the Baghban of today's world.

But unfortunately, the response on the first day hinted that Vanvaas might turn out to be a flop in the end.

The reason is that it is not going housefull anywhere and some reports have claimed that the number for Day 1 might not be even in lakhs.

The reports are not up to the mark considering that the film can easily appeal to family audiences. Things might get tough since Mufasa: The Lion King has been released in multiple languages today and Baby John is on the way.

Moreover, Pushpa 2: The Rule is already creating different records and a complete family film might not work in front of such a big monster which has collected more than Rs. 1,000 crores.

Anil Sharma was possibly confident that audiences would return to watch his film after Gadar 2 became a blockbuster.

But the popular director needs to understand that films like Vanvaas don't have a proper audience in today's world.

People went to watch Gadar 2 last year just to experience the nostalgia of the first part. This was also the reason why the film was able to collect more than Rs. 500 crores.

But the fate of Vanvaas is uncertain at the box office because it hardly created any buzz with the trailer and songs. On the other hand, other big films are already standing as an obstacle.
