With standout performances from Bryan Cranston, Catherine O'Hara, Kathryn Hahn, and Rogen himself, it's a brilliantly executed farce.
The cameos are jaw-dropping, the writing is razor-sharp, and the second episode, shot in a single take, is a comedic masterstroke. The Studio is easily one of the most entertaining shows of the year.
However, Indian viewers who want to enjoy this Apple TV+ series are facing a frustrating barrier. The show is only available as an Apple TV+ add-on through Amazon Prime Video, which means viewers must pay an extra ₹99 per month despite already paying for a Prime subscription.
This payment-on-top-of-payment model has not gone down well in India. In a country where affordability and value for money drive viewing habits, this double paywall feels excessive.
Many users were excited to see Apple TV+ content available on Prime, expecting it to be bundled or discounted. Instead, they're met with another subscription fee, making premium content feel exclusive and inaccessible.

The reception to this Apple-Amazon model has been lukewarm in India, and it's unfortunate because The Studio has the potential to reach a massive audience here.
But unless Apple reconsiders its pricing or bundles, this could end up limiting the reach of a fantastic show. Great content should not be kept behind multiple paywalls, especially in a price-sensitive market like India.
