Thankfully, the staff were helpful and even tried to secure a more comfortable seat.

However, this case reflects a deeper issue that continues to affect codeshare flights: a lack of integration between partner airlines' systems.

For a major airline like British Airways to leave passengers guessing which app to use, and then provide no useful guidance when that fails, is simply unacceptable.

This is not an isolated incident. Others have faced similar problems when trying to navigate between codeshare partners. The experience highlights how digital systems, while convenient when they work, can fall apart without proper support and communication.

Airlines must take more responsibility for ensuring their systems are clear, functional and passenger friendly, especially when partnerships complicate the journey.
