For the fiscal year 2023-24, the BRS reported an annual income of ₹685 crore, driven largely by donations from Hyderabad-based companies and electoral trusts.
This puts it ahead of other powerful regional players that many expected to dominate the list.
Interestingly, all three major Telugu regional parties BRS, TDP, and YSRCP secured spots in the top five richest regional parties in India, underscoring their financial clout in Indian politics.
The ADR report highlights not only the vast resources of regional parties but also stresses the need for transparency, as these funds remain under public and institutional scrutiny.
