Kalvakuntla Kavitha has turned rogue against the BRS and continues making sharp comments on the party and its leaders. KCR suspended her after months of restraint, and since then she has become more aggressive while touring districts under "Jagruthi Janam Baata."
Even after suspension, BRS leaders avoided attacking her because she is KCR's daughter. She criticised Harish Rao and Santosh Rao, yet neither responded. Kavitha accused Harish Rao over Kaleshwaram commissions and the alleged 400-acre Five-Star Resort. He initially denied her claims, then stayed silent.
Internal sources now say KCR has allowed senior leaders to counter Kavitha publicly. But the move appears unnecessary. Kavitha's statements held weight only when she was inside BRS. After suspension, interest faded sharply, and media space reduced along with public attention.
Targeting her now risks reviving relevance she no longer holds. Any attack can draw sympathy and extend her presence in headlines. Currently, Kavitha struggles to influence Telangana politics. At best, she acts as a nuisance for BRS, which is likely why she has not announced a new party.
If KCR chooses confrontation at this stage, he may end up giving Kavitha more importance than she currently commands.
