Once the Governor started his speech, they demanded why special status was not given to them. They complained the Governor was simply reading out a script given by the alliance government.
The YSRCP members demanded that the government must fulfill the six guarantees the TDP promised before elections. The YSRCP MLAs said that there was no value for Assembly without opposition. They alleged that red book governance was happening in the state and went on to say they were instilling fear among their party cadre by such behaviour.

But the ruling party was equally prepared to counter the YSRCP MLAs. They said Jagan was not the right person to talk about democracy. They pointed out that the Governor during Jagan's term spoke what Jagan wanted him to speak.
They also reminded that Raja Reddy rule was followed between 2019-24. They taunted YSRCP MLAs pointing out that how can they expect opposition status when they had only 11 MLAs.
