Build a Hospital, Get Subsidy: CBN

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has decided to bring about a subsidy policy for hospitals on the lines of industrial policy.

The CM has directed the officials to develop guidelines for those coming forward to build hospitals.

At a review meeting of Health and Welfare department, Chandrababu directed the officials to establish a 100 to 300 bed multi-speciality hospital in every constituency of the state. The CM said there were 70 hospitals with 100 bed capacity. He said that hospitals need to be constructed in remaining 105 constituencies.

He said they can be built on private-public partnership (PPP) basis and guidelines need to be chalked out and subsidies be given like industries.

He suggested that virtual medical facilities should be provided at PHC (primary health centers) and Community Health Centers (CHCs), as per requirement.

He also ordered for the opening of 13 de-addiction centers.

The CM ordered the officials to take necessary steps for the development of Mega Global Medicity in Amaravati. Babu said that Amaravati should be developed in such a way that people from all countries must come there for treatment.
