"The Padayatra will happen anyways. I will talk to the individual level to everyone of you then," Jagan Mohan Reddy announced.
Last year, Jagan Mohan Reddy announced he would tour the districts after the Sankranthi season but then that never materialised.
So there are some people who doubt this announcement as well.
Like Work From Home, Is This Odarpu From Home?
Jagan lost touch with the people by sitting in the Palace for almost five years. Once a leader loses touch with the people, he feels he is God-like and feels people as low-life. And then, he feels awkward to go out.
That is the reason why he would barricade both sides of the road whenever he go to the people. Police would not even allow people to go near him.
Phase 2 of Talliki Vandanam Gets a Green Signal
It is highly doubtful if Jagan can go to the people and connect with the people like how he did before the 2019 elections.
But then, those doubting Jagan are seriously under-estimating him. Coming to Power is Paramount for Jagan, he will do everything and anything for that.
So, he will be doing Padayatra for sure even though he may not be comfortable.
It is a popular perception in both the Telugu States that leaders doing Padayatra will easily come to power in the next elections.
They cite the example of YSR in 2004, Chandrababu Naidu in 2014, Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2019, and Nara Lokesh in 2024.
But then, Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila also did Padayatra in 2014. Sharmila also did Padyatra in Telangana before the 2023 elections. But that did not work.
Padayatra is definitely a way for the leaders to connect with the Public. It will act as a catalyst in their campaign. But it does not imply that every Padayatra will result in Electoral Victories.
