A case has been registered over the printing of instigating rappa rappa posters in Andhra Pradesh. The Dwaraka Tirumala SI stated that the owner of Royal Flexi printing in Nallajarla, East Godavari district, has been seized in connection with the case.
The incident relates to posters put up in Ramasingavaram, Dwaraka Tirumala mandal, Eluru district. These flexis were installed by YSRCP cadre to mark Jagan's birthday. The posters contained the slogan "2029 ennikallo 88 magic figure daatagane Gangamma jataralo veta talalu narikinatlu rappa rappa narukutam okkakkadini."
Following this, several villagers and TDP workers raised complaints with the police. They alleged that the content of the posters was offensive and provocative. Acting on these complaints, the police registered a case.
A case was filed against six individuals involved in creating the posters. The owner of Royal Flexi Printing was also named in the case. Based on the complaints, the printing shop was seized by the authorities.
The rappa rappa slogan used by YSRCP has been a point of conflict between TDP and YSRCP for some time. Although it originated as a film dialogue, YSRCP cadre have been using it in political messaging. TDP leaders claim it carries threatening undertones.
Chandrababu and Lokesh have repeatedly objected to the slogan. They have said that YSRCP should stop using phrases that hint at violence. Both leaders have warned against disturbing the political environment by instigating people.
