The other day, Speaker Ayyannapathrudu flagged how some YSR Congress MLAs are signing the attendance register of the Assembly and not coming to the house.
It is known to our readers that YSR Congress has boycotted the Assembly Proceedings in protest to Jagan not getting the Opposition Leader Status.
Jagan Should Have Displayed His English Skills
Article 190(4) of the Constitution of India states that a member of a state's legislature can be declared absent if they are absent from all meetings for a period of 60 days without permission.
To escape the disqualification, Jagan and ten other YSR Congress MLAs attended the Governor's Address.
Delimitation Criteria Change, Easier Said Than Done!
However, the Speaker announced that attending the Governor's Address is not considered in the Attendance.
So, Seven YSR Congress MLAs have come up with this plan of signing the register so that they are technically present in case it has come down to disqualification.
Horror Story of Bollywood Actress in Hyderabad
Meanwhile, one of the seven MLAs who are involved in this signing came up with an explanation.
Apparently, they were trying to ask questions in the Assembly and the staff asked them to sign before submitting the question.
YSR Congress has boycotted the Assembly Proceedings in protest to Jagan not getting the Opposition Leader Status.
Boycotting the Assembly means boycotting everything. What is this business of asking questions?
If they can not stop asking the questions, they should come to the house and ask.
If they are serious about the boycott, they have a provision to get their MLCs to ask the questions in the Council.
All these look like cock and bull stories.
Chandrasekhar tried to invoke caste card as well to divert the topic. "బహుజన శాసన సభ్యులను దొంగలని సంభోదించడం స్పీకర్ గారి విజ్ఞతకు వదిలేస్తున్నా," he wrote.
There are MLAs of Upper Castes as well in the seven YSR Congress MLAs who signed the register. The Speaker asked them not to sign the register like thieves and come right royally to the Assembly.
In case someone insulted the Bahujan MLAs, it was Jagan Mohan Reddy who prevented them from coming to the Assembly and forced them to sign the register secretly.
Let us keep this signing aside, the Speaker in the house announced that except for Jagan, all the YSR Congress MLAs are drawing salaries despite not coming to the Assembly.
Chandrasekhar should also say if the Assembly officials asked them to draw salaries if not they can not submit the questions.
Wait, will he say "బహుజన శాసన సభ్యులను సభకు రాకుండా జీతాలు తీసుకోవడం తప్పు అన్న స్పీకర్ గారి విజ్ఞతకు వదిలేస్తున్నా"?
