Phase 1 includes Trunk Infra, LPS layouts, the Assembly, Secretariat, and High Court. Chandrababu thanked the farmers who voluntarily gave land for Amaravati. He expressed gratitude to every farmer who contributed to the 34,000 acres required for the capital.
On Friday, foundation stones were laid for the head offices of 25 leading banks in Amaravati. After the event, Chandrababu thanked PM Modi for relaunching Amaravati's construction. He also thanked Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for releasing Rs 15,000 crore for the capital.
Chandrababu said Phase 1 will be completed by March 2028. He stated that work is progressing at high speed. The state cabinet has also approved a second round of land pooling for Amaravati.
A total of 16,666.5 acres will be acquired in Vaikunthapuram, Peddamaadduru, Endrayi, Karlapudi, Vadlamanu, Pedaparimi, and Harischandrapuram.
