Nara Lokesh praised Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao at the Values Education conference. The Chandrababu government appointed Chaganti as Advisor in November 2024. Lokesh showed respect by touching his feet and recalling how Chaganti refused the coffee served during their first meeting.
Lokesh said Chaganti does not use the government vehicle assigned to him and pays his own mobile bill despite holding a Cabinet-rank post. He added that using Chaganti's content for children's text books in AP brought him pride and purpose.
Lokesh addressed the gathering organised by the education department at Tummalapally Kalakshetram in Vijayawada. Chaganti attended the event and listened as Lokesh stressed the role of teachers in guiding students with the right values and behaviour.
Lokesh reminded that values begin at home. He said women must receive respect and be portrayed responsibly in films and websites. He urged students not to feel low about grades and added that insults are a part of life, while suicides are never the answer.
Lokesh said the government addressed problems faced by teachers. He stated that reforms in the education system are now in progress and asked everyone to support these changes for the benefit of students and society.
