Hyderabad traffic police have announced restrictions for New Year Eve as the city gears up for celebrations. The rules will be in place from 11 pm to 2 am to control crowd movement and ensure safety.
Necklace Road, Tank Bund, and NTR Marg will be completely closed to traffic. Except for Begumpet and Tolichowki, all flyovers will remain shut during this period. Entry will be denied for general public use.
Access to PV Expressway will be allowed only for passengers with valid flight tickets. Private buses are restricted from entering the city between 10 pm and 2 am. Authorities aim to reduce congestion and avoid late-night chaos.
Revellers will not be allowed to howl, create nuisance, or enter residential zones. Barricades will be set up at Maitrivanam, Kukatpally, and other key residential areas to maintain peace for citizens celebrating at home.
Both city and traffic police will enforce the orders strictly. Alcohol-serving establishments cannot operate past 1 am. The police have also intensified efforts to maintain a drug-free environment and prevent violations.
