The Opposition party is suffering a dearth of leadership in the Chittoor district and Rayalaseema.
Two big leaders, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and Peddireddy Rama Chandra Reddy, were completely neutralized.
The Liquor Scam is troubling both the leaders.

Chevireddy allegedly played a key role in diverting scam proceeds to party candidates during elections.
The SIT's findings say Chevireddy was caught transporting Rs 8 crore in cash from Hyderabad to Vijayawada during the elections in a goods vehicle with hidden compartments. The vehicle was intercepted at the Garikapadu check post in the NTR district.

Following the seizure, Chevireddy instructed his gunman, Giri, to destroy his phone and escape. The gunman confirmed this in his statement.
Chevireddy is currently in the Vijayawada district jail.
On the one hand, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who was arrested in the liquor scam, is caught in a tight loophole. Vigilance officials have found that he spent more than Rs 380 crores at will during the previous YSRCP government.
Meanwhile, Peddireddy Rama Chandra Reddy's story is different.
During YSR Congress's regime, he ruled Chittoor district like a Monarch. Now, his son, Mithun Reddy, is in Rajahmundry Central Jail serving remand in the Liquor Scam.
According to SIT, the main accused (A-1) Raj Kasireddy used to collect Rs 50-60 crore every month and hand over the amount to YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy (A-4), then YSRCP leader Vijayasai Reddy (A-5), Bharathi Cements Director Govindappa Balaji (A-33), who looked after the financial affairs of Jagan's wife Bharathi.
They used to transfer the money to Jagan from time to time. It has come to light that Rs 3,500 crore was looted in this way.
Rama Chandra Reddy has shifted to Rajahmundry. The family rented a villa there and is sending home-cooked food to the jail three times a day.
Thus, both Chevireddy and Peddireddy were shunted out of Chittoor politics.
In 2019, YSR Congress won 13 out of 14 Assembly segments and both Tirupati and Chittoor Parliament constituencies. Chandrababu Naidu was the only TDP candidate to win in the district.
Even in the 2014 election, when TDP came to power, the party only won six seats in the district.
After winning in 2019, Peddireddy even tried to defeat Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam. In fact, he wrested Kuppam Municipality using brute force and money power.
But TDP+ registered a stunning result by winning 13 out of the 14 segments in the district. Only Peddireddy scraped through a slender margin.
In just one year of the new government, the party's top leadership is in complete disarray.
