Producer Anand Pandit seems to have set the stage for the iconic return of Amitabh Bachchan by announcing a sequel to the 1978 cult classic 'Trishul'.
Anand Pandit shared that he deeply admired Amitabh Bachchan, and Trishul has also had a very special place in his heart, and it was that movie and its protagonist Vijay's story that led to him leaving Gujrat to come to Mumbai to chase his dreams.

He further clarified that this sequel to the movie would continue with Vijay's (Amitabh Bachchan) life post-reconciliation with the Gupta family, shedding light on his family, future, and emotional healing.
Hardcore fans of the original classic seem to be over the top with this news as they wait for Vijay's story to unfold. Some people do seem to be critical of the producer's decision to go for a sequel, and rightfully so, as Trishul's Telugu remake 'Mr. Bharath', released in 1986 and starring Sobhan Babu, was a huge flop.
