CM's Promise: Parchur to get Shipbuilding Industry

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu promises to get shipbuilding industry in Parchur constituency. He said his government will support the establishment of a shipbuilding and ship repair industry.

The proposal put forth by Yeluri Sambasiva Rao is expected to generate employment and drive economic growth in the region, said the CM at Praja Vedika organized in Parchur, Bapatla district.

The CM lauded the efforts of Sambasiva Rao in bringing development to the region and added that they would ensure successful implementation of the shipbuilding initiative.

Several other projects were also sanctioned in the region which included modernisation of Nagarjunasagar Canal, establishment of National Cadet Corps (NCC) offices, renovation of shadikhanas and dargahs, construction of community halls for SC, ST, BCs and minorities and crematoriums for BCs and OCs, ensuring better civic amenities for all.

The CM also announced the construction of a double lane national highway to Valaparla Industrial Park. A water storage tank would be set up at Valaparla and permission has been given for Auto Nagar in Inkollu-Martur-Parchur area. Rs 5 crore has been allocated for land acquisition for Kommuru Canal, Babu said.

Agricultural markets would come up in Parchur, Karanchedu, Inkollu, Chinaganjam, while drainage issues in Inkollu would be resolved.

Financial aid would be provided through CM's Relief Fund for medical treatment of the under-privileged.

The CM underscored their commitment to eradicate poverty through his 'P4 model' where the wealthiest 10% would support the bottom 20%.

Babu said that DSC would be announced this month and promised that the Polavaram project would be completed by 2027 integrating rivers to provide water across the state.

He reminded that central government allocated Rs 11,000 crore for Vizag Steel Plant and that a new railway zone was being established in Vizag.

He said his government was committed to provide better infrastructure facilities and added that his government repealed Land Titling Act brought about by YSRCP government.

The CM said Thalliki Vandanam would start in May, farmers would receive Rs 20,000 from state govt and Rs 6000 from central government under Annadata scheme. The fishermen too would get Rs 20,000 this month, the CM said.
