Known for offering dishes that are not typically found in Indian menus, Shoyu has gained traction among food lovers who enjoy experimenting with international flavors.
Operating exclusively through delivery platforms like Swiggy and Zomato, the brand has built a steady customer base.
However, Shoyu faced an unexpected controversy when a user on X (formerly Twitter) posted a sarcastic tweet tagging Shoyu Hyderabad.
The tweet included a picture of a promotional message from the brand that read, "We would love to know how we could indulge you better." In response, the disappointed customer, who allegedly found a cockroach in his Chinese food order, replied: "Maybe start with not serving roaches in our meals."

To make matters worse (and viral), the user shared a photo of the cockroach in his food alongside the promotional pamphlet, leading to a wave of sarcastic comments.
While the exchange online has a humorous tone, the frustration and disgust from the customer are quite evident-he claimed to have thrown away the entire order.

This incident, while turning into online banter, raises serious concerns about hygiene and quality control at Shoyu. One can only hope this feedback reaches Naga Chaitanya and the team managing the brand, as such things can seriously damage the reputation of Shoyu.
