The office will accommodate 1000 employees. Minister MP Sribharat and Ganta Srinivas Rao also took part in the inauguration ceremony. The event drew attention from the local IT community.
CM Chandrababu will lay the foundation stone for Cognizant's permanent campus on Friday. The campus will come up on 21.31 acres at Kapuluppada. It will offer world class technology through an IT and digital transformation campus built in three phases. The project cost is Rs 1583 crore and will create jobs for 8000 people once fully completed.
The first phase will be completed by 2029 and will employ 3000 people. All three phases are expected to be completed by 2033, according to a release from the state government.
Cognizant is one of the first companies to begin operations in Vizag. The city continues to strengthen its position as the IT capital of Andhra Pradesh.
