Comedian Prudhvi Raj has created a controversy by making a statement during the promotional event of the to-be-released film Laila.

While narrating how he got the role and how he was playing a villain in Tamil, he spoke of his comic role in Laila.

He said he was playing a shephard in the film and during the initial days of the shoot there were 150 sheep, while during the last scene, there were only 11 sheep remaining.

The numbers led netizens to put two and two together and Prudhvi Raj and Laila team have been subject to heavy trolling. The team even apologised for hurting the sentiments of YSRCP fans, though the film has no political connect.

However, 30 years in industry actor Prudhvi who was pro-Janasena and TDP during elections was not spared by trollers. The netizens bombarded the Janasena member with nasty posts that resulted in Prudhvi ending up having high BP.

As the Laila team are touring promoting their film, Prudhvi has been admitted to a private hospital due to high blood pressure.
