However, during a recent press meet, she faced an unpleasant situation when a journalist asked her if she had encountered the "commitment" issue, referring to casting couch experiences.

Addressing the incident, Ananya expressed her thoughts, saying, "I kept thinking about how someone could ask such a sensitive question so directly in front of everyone. The only thought that crossed my mind was, 'Would anyone with values ask such a question?'"

She continued, "I have been fighting for recognition as an actress for five years, and it's a dream for me. Some people believe entering the industry tarnishes the family's reputation. But I hoped that after watching Pottel, my family would feel proud, especially my mother, who would tell everyone that her daughter acted in such a wonderful movie. However, this question took away that happiness."
Ananya further explained that people would now assume her success is due to her agreeing to something inappropriate, and this would lead relatives to question her mother.

Reflecting on the incident, she stated, "At the time, I didn't have these thoughts, but later, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Does that journalist have no values?"

At the pre-release event, Ananya urged everyone to respect actors, saying, "The entire cast of Pottel delivered their career-best performances, and my mother will feel proud seeing me in this film. Just because heroines wear makeup and smile doesn't mean they don't have emotions or families. Please respect us."
