Cybercrimes are the new fear factor among people and according to Telangana state annual police report, the state has seen a spike of 43.33% this year.
But the Telangana people can heave a sigh of relief apart from taking appropriate measures as the Telangana cybersecurity departments have emerged at the top in the country.

From 17,571 cases in 2023, the number of reported crimes went up to 25,184 cases, the report revealed. Those cheated increased by 26.65% and nearly 24,643 cases were registered as against nearly 16,500 cases in 2023.
The police cyber cells were able to trace and refund Rs 180 crore as compared to Rs 8 crore last year. Similarly, police were able to freeze Rs 247 crore involved in cybercrimes as compared to Rs 119 crore previous year.
