But Akshay says there is no news of Rowdy Rathore 2 that he can give now.

Rowdy Rathore has been a tremendously popular movie and it had a huge footfall of 2 crore tickets. Apart from this, only the 1994 film Mohra has had a 2 crore footfall from Akshay Kumar, but that was a multi-starrer.

So it is good to say that Rowdy Rathore is his most successful film and audiences' love for the movie has grown over the years too.

But the sequel for the movie is not under progress as it has been rumoured for some time now. While promoting his upcoming movie Sky Force he gave some details about his upcoming movies.

He says he will start working on OMG 3 as soon as he cracks the script and will probably do a superhero film too if given the opportunity.

He has said, "There is no movement on Rowdy Rathore 2 right now, but if it's in the pipeline, I will definitely inform everyone about it." Fans are sad that they will probably have to wait some more and still there is no certainty about the sequel.
