The incident reportedly took place on July 14. An FIR was registered at the Indiranagar Police Station.
The accused has been identified as Mohd Arif, who is said to have committed the crime while transporting the child.
The FIR further reveals that the driver threatened the victim's family with dire consequences if they approached the police.
Along with Mohd Arif, school manager Sandeep Kumar has also been named as an accused.
The role of the school in failing to ensure student safety is now under scrutiny.
Relevant sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act have been invoked in the case.
