Producer Dil Raju recently sparked controversy with remarks comparing cultural preferences in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at the Sankranthiki Vasthunam pre-release event in his hometown, Nizamabad, he claimed that Telangana people are less enthusiastic about films than those in Andhra.

Realizing the political and cultural stir his comments had caused, Dil Raju issued a clarification.
He emphasized his respect for Telangana's "Dawaat" culture and expressed regret if his words had hurt anyone. He urged people not to politicize his comments, reiterating that he never intended to disrespect the culture.
